Sounds plausible but with the kind of money we're spending over there i wouldnt exclude the possibility of buying soldiers. If it wasnt for trump i would potentially expect some kind of subsidized volunteer service to keep sidestepping direct war
If we matched the last loan of 20 billion you could offer a 200k dollar salary to 100k "volunteers"

besides that, i think at around may/early summer we will start hearing reports of US economic downturn that the trump machine will try at the same time to pin at the dems for those that are actually in hardship, and suggest it's "lies" for those that are still somewhat ok, so they will have both asses covered without much problems, given that double-think narratives are very common these days since most of the propaganda is done by outside sources and not the party's official announcements
