Its quite a bit of work to report everyone who says slurs. Make it so that it auto reports them to minehut support. Obviously support should look at the context as if it's just a server owner testing out the filter then it's different but yk just want to clear up all these people who instantly join to say slurs.

Minehut doesn't issue any type of automatic punishments, they're all done by staff. For a chat filter, it could be problematic if someone was trying to test their chat filter on their server, but didn't realize that they had the Minehut filter enabled. There are also many false positives with the filter, which we constantly have whitelisted to prevent them, but it's inevitable that they're going to have false positives. I don't believe the chat filter is in a state right now where it could reliably automatically punish users.

support still exercises judgment and takes in context - plus, listing it in the rules as an exception would potentially lead to issues with loophole abuses

another situation I could think of is staff on a server having a staff chat toggle, they have the MH filter enabled, and try for example try to say in staff chat "yeah this person said (horrible thing with a slur in it)", and they would get instantly punished for that if it was automatic
(though it's not encouraged to repeat something bad)

my point here is that a server's staff member would quote someone saying something bad without thinking, and they would get automatically banned for it if this was implemented - I don't encourage it, but it's important to keep this in mind

i 100% agree with the sentiment here but in all honesty the minehut filter will always be a work in progress, no automatic system should be in charge of punishments without any manual intervention

This has been discussed before iirc but I believe it’s considered a security concern, since privacy is expected. If it was done, it would probably have to be forwarded to a channel only support has access to.
