minehut Server Boosting & Account Verification

You can add 1 hour of daily time to a server by verifying your account, and typing /boost <server name> in the lobby — this has a 1 day cooldown. This is only available to those with Android or iOS devices.

Linking your Minecraft account is not the same thing. Verify your account to unlock extra features, shown on the account settings page linked below. Asking others in the lobby or in our Discord to boost a server is not permitted.

  1. Login and go to your Account Settings page.
  2. Click Verify Your Account on the right, and follow the steps to download the GamerSafer app which you will use to verify.
  3. Click I Have My GamerSafer Account, and you will see a popup to confirm that you are ready to scan a QR code.
  4. Scan the QR code with the GamerSafer app. You will NOT use your phone's QR code scanner app to scan the QR code.
  5. Once you scan the QR code with the GamerSafer app, a message will appear on your phone asking if you would like to join the Minehut Guild. Click Consent & Join.

:robot: How to add custom plugins to your server

Installing plugins is super easy, just follow these steps:

  1. Find the plugin you would like to download on a trusted site such as one of the ones linked below.
  2. Login and activate the server you wish to add plugins to.
  3. Head over to the File Manager, and go into the plugins folder.
  4. Click the Upload File icon and upload your plugin.
  5. Restart your server to load the plugin.

-# A plugin not being listed on those sites don't automatically rule it as unsafe, however be very cautious when downloading it.

How do I change my server version?

You can change your server version from the Dashboard. You don't have to activate your server to make this change!

Next to the Activate Server button, you will see your version, if you click this you will be able to select a different version. From the drop-downs, you can select your Server Type and Server Version.

Once you hit Save Changes your server version will be updated. Please be aware that you are not able to downgrade your version due to the way the files are generated. For example, if you change your server from Paper 1.20.4 to Paper 1.21.1 you will not be able to go back to 1.20.4 unless you have a manual backup.

We always recommend creating a manual backup when making any major changes to your server in case you need to undo those changes. You can find out more about how to set up a backup here.
