I know Jamie is trying to keep people engaged but this is only engaging a very small subset of the Minehut population if anything...

Can we get some more Minehut relevant announcements and engagement maybe? Even if Jamie just goes around playing random servers, interacting with the community ingame past a superficial level, etc.

Oooo. Random servers. Like DaKatz’s Minehut Monday’s.

going around random servers just kind of feels like the server spotlight thing, which didn't work out

That was just survival servers. I didn’t see one server that was actually cool in my opinion.

i just mean jamie joining peoples servers not to showcase but just to be human with people outside the limited discord stuff

I feel like Jamie already has a lot on her plate as is, also doubt that her joining some servers will do much more for this community then those random posts. Would much rather have some kind of events done by the event team related to joining servers

#

The main issue with these current events and community posts is that the community isn't actively involved in it, hosting a week long building event that barely gets a reaction from anyone does nothing for the community, the discord art related events do a bit better with that but still not as much. The previous events under SLG went well because the reactions were livestreamed, and before SLG the events went well because they were done in VCs for anyone to listen in and interact with the hosts

#

Minehut is currently severely missing that player interaction in events

Yeah, I’d love to see livestreams, but the team is too small to do something like that right now. I also don’t think that the events team is well equipped to do any livestreams at the moment either. SLG used to have an entire production team iirc which allowed streams to happen consistently without getting in the way of other things. I think that it’d be cool for the partners (content creators) to get involved in something like this, since they have experience in this field.

The other suggestion I made ages ago would still work, ask the YouTuber team to either do streams or make videos, and if that isn't possible, go back to the old days where we used voice channels for the events and let some people from the events team be the hosts

Dev blogs
Live Streams and Content Creation (e.g live streaming exploring servers, minehut tutorials etc)
"Featured servers" on twitter and discord, minehut advertises a server they think is cool (minehut used to do this)
Q&A Stage(GamerSafer used to do this) and it caused great community engagement imo
