the only times server names are freed up are
- when the current owner of it changes away from it
- if minehut does another deletion wave of inactive servers (one we had previously deleted servers that had never been started, joined, activated, anything for 1 full year)

ingame, add the server to your favorites, open the favorites menu, hover over it, and see if their IGN is there
if it isn't, then there is no way
