#Account Watchdog

I'm surprised account watchdogs aren't common practice by large servers where stolen accounts are commonly used
minehut already has a feature where they email you and make you change your password if it detects a login from somewhere else.
I mean like with Minecraft accounts. Because the demand for only stolen minehut accounts would be very little to none
They are saying for example “Oh ima just go play this Minehut server” 20 seconds later “OH NO! Minehut detected that my account has been stolen and sent me an email”
Honestly it’s a good feature
I don’t see that many stolen Minecraft accounts in minehut but just incase it would be a nice feature
The only problem about it is location wise, and the hardware needed to detect. It could send you an email and lock you from minehut if you’re in another state/country.
And you need like a big system to track maybe 15k - 20k minehut players
there's many actually
such as almost all 3 char usernames and 2 char usernames
Yeah yeah
I know those
Not exactly, Minehut obviously knows your real IP. So they can just encrypt it and show the last few characters. So even if it’s the same location, it’ll be a different IP. And it could be a subtle alert, so it’s obvious enough so the player sees it(like a title on screen) but not obnoxious
Doesn’t minehut already execute code for thousands of players?
*Oh
With captcha, /find, and cosmetics?
Well maybe they need more
They are already are deleting and purging servers for space
Yeah, but I’m sure storing the last 5 digits of the past 3 IPs won’t be all that bad
For every player that joins
Well, they keep a lot of info to know what servers you own, and your favorite servers. What’s 5 extra characters going to do?
