How do I grant a group the entire permissions of other group
i.e. group #1 has permission "minecraft.command.teleport" and "minecraft.command.data"
group #2 should have same permissions as group #1 but I'm dealing with a lot of perms rn

e.g. if i add Group A as a parent of Group B, Group B will have the same permissions as Group A

/lp group group1 parent set group2

group2 will have group1's perms?

yes but i would probably recommend getting used to using 'add' instead of 'set'

easier to avoid doing something unintentional

also, what is the difference between /lp user <user> parent set <group> and /lp user <user> parent add <group>

if you have multiple parents of a group, parent set will remove all other parents and set it to only that parent

parent add just adds another parent
