Resource pack not being accepted

How come whenever I drag and drop/browse my files to upload a resource pack, it doesn't take it.

One workaround to this that ive seen be mentioned before was Upload your texture pack to dropbox.com. Copy link, set "dl=0" to "dl=1" and paste it in the Resourcepack Settings click 'Save' and restart your server.

If it doesnt load while you try to join, try going to the server list in the multiplayer menu, adding your server to it, make sure resource packs for it are set to Prompt or Enabled, then try joining directly to your server. (Make sure it is started)

I put it in and it broke the server

If you wish to remove the entire texture pack from the file. erase the link and just keep the resource-pack=

Try also only putting it within the resource-pack= and not the resource-pack-sha1=?

Only put the resource pack you wanna use in resource-pack=
