oh
lmao
are you using fastboard?
or is this a plugin you got online?
oh
i'd recommend you to use fastboard and make sure your imports have adventure
this will make your life so much easier ^
make sure to use the adventure.Fastboard instead of the normal one for Components
lmk if you need any help
did you do the dependency?
already?
okay
so on the top of your pom.xml you should see the <build> tag
you should see 2 plugins iirc
yep
just add this:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-shade-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.3.0</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>shade</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
<configuration>
<relocations>
<relocation>
<pattern>fr.mrmicky.fastboard</pattern>
<!-- Replace 'com.yourpackage' with the package of your plugin ! -->
<shadedPattern>com.yourpackage.fastboard</shadedPattern>
</relocation>
</relocations>
</configuration>
</plugin>``` to your plugins path
make sure you change the shadedPattern to your path you want it shaded into
erm i'd do me.waffler527.xxxxxxx.fastboard
ye
ye
put that into your <shadedPattern></shadedPattern>
no need to create it in your project
maven will do it for you
ye
did you reload your maven project?
can you paste your pom in here?: https://pastes.dev/
if that's alright
ye
i see the issue
erm, maybe not
hmm
oh
okay
hey, sorry
make sure you add the dependency too
this doesn't have it ^
@deft swan
😄
np
haha, it happens
hmm
did you reload maven?
it seems like you didn't
cuz that happens if you dont reload!
i'd use the fr.mrmick.fastboard.adventure.FastBoard and just put your Component in there
instead of a String
hmm
lp has component support
there must be a way
one sec
does this return the whole string (with color codes?)
if so, just use minimessage for ranks instead
okay
so
you could use minimessage instead
so like <color:#ffb62>Pumpkin <color:#ffb62d>
then use minimessage in your plugin
to convert to a `Component
lol, i saw
well add the maven dependancy, and then you can just import it
yea, you just add this in the dependancy section
<dependency>
<groupId>me.minidigger</groupId>
<artifactId>MiniMessage</artifactId>
<version>2.0.3</version> <!-- see badge on top of the repo for current version -->
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>```
have you tried compiling it?
not just intelisense or whatever
do you have maven central enabled as a repo
tbf, beyond me, i just manually add in the jar most of the time
they probably have a ci or a place you can download it
this is a fork of an archived repository that was merged into a different package
