How do the MineHut ads work? It says I can go head and set a credit budget, and I can select how many days I want my ad displayed. So is it your typical MineHut ad where it is displayed in chat, or a GUI at spawn?

My other question is my ad displayed with a higher frequency in chat if I pay more?

If it is though a GUI does it increase the spot of where the ad is placed?

Ads displayed in chat is not what it is related.

The advertisements are in the GUI.

This is more of a chance system, the chances depend on 1) the credits per day 2) categories you want to advertise it in and 3) other servers.

If you spread it out over multiple days, the chances decrease since the credit budget is smaller per day.
If you spread it further in multiple categories, the chances for each of those categories are smaller again.
Then you have to compete with other servers' advertisements and budgets.

So where can I find these advertised servers? I wanted to see my competitors please.

Another question I have is it says I can select multiple topics. Does the amount of topics I put down decrease the chances of people seeing it as well?

The paid ads can be found in the top row of the main server list as well as the top row in each categories.
The more categories you pick, the more spread out the budget is. Say you have 800 credits and pick 2 categories for 1 day, that's 400 credits for each category. If you pick 8 categories, that's 100 credits per category, giving you a smaller chance than if you were to do 2 for 400 each.

I don't know how much other servers are usually spending since you'd have to compete with others (especially larger servers), a good start may be 500-750 a day?

Note that 500 credits in one category may not give you the same amount of impressions as 500 in another category. Mainly cause the traffic in each category is different. A lot of people use either use the main menu or all servers category. So traffic there would be higher but there would also be higher competition

Oh that would have been nice to know lol. I did it for factions, and I got 5 impressions. Does paying for an ad effect the MODT? Right now it says " Minehut.com The server hosting network 1370 servers running "

ya factions isn't really a super popular category

and no the motd is whatever you set it to in the server/proxy config file

if you are using a custom domain, make sure you have it verified
