most people come to minehut to host free servers with their friends. Then they stay because of the community. If free servers become basically obsolete, what will deter them from switching to a more reliable source? (We all know minehut isnt that reliable)

legit no one likes, even the people who appear to be "defending" it. those people just understand why these updates needed to be done.

it is ironic when people who are demanding free servers back call Minehut greedy when they are the ones losing millions per year and dont make money anyways.

whats weird about the sponorship? thats another way to get money back from what they are losing from free servers. sle has partnered with many large brands like that before in the past

how is it a scam? The original concept of Minehut is great but its just not sustainable. Also you know Trent is the one who brought up some of these limits before he left right? Its just Sam is the one who executed them.

It used to be over priced cause it needed to subsidize the cost of the free servers. They decreased the prices when they introduced the limits which made them pretty ok. $10 for 6gb of ram or even cheaper with 1200 free credits they give you per month.

Also idk why many people think Trent is like that but he would have done something similar. The higher ups would have told them to make Minehut not lose money anymore and something like this would happen if he was still here as well. And yes a point of a business is to make money. they cant survive long without it. theyve already been losing millions per year. their parent company has just been surviving cause of investors. they even almost got removed from the stock exchange recently. if they go below a certain amount again, theyll get removed entirely and the investors wont be able to subsidize all the losses.

good for you. you can use that and then spend a ton more on advertising. or spend $5 and connect it to minehut.

i never said minehut was the cheapest. just that their prices got better. if everyone used the cheapest host, 99% of server hosts wouldnt exist.

I wasn't even trying to argue. just trying to make people understand why things like this have to be done. I don't like any of these updates either. But understand the reason for them and actually suggesting real things to improve rather than just saying "revert the update".
