minehut has a ton of staff yet this 80% of the time is what the chat looks like. what happened to actually moderating chat?

I've applied for staff, and in their fairness, people need to report it

I've gotten on and several days there have been spamm

I've pinged a moderater who's status is online and they have join and muted them

It's hard to be on 24/7

don't think this is an incompetency of staff moreso a lack of coverage during this time

we don't have eyes on chat 24/7, we have other things to do than be discord/in-game moderators, if you see something that's bad, ping us or message one of us

i know if i'm around, i'll hop on and deal with wtv is going on

SLG will not supply minehut with the necessary funds to afford 24/7 staff to monitor lobby chat as they have done in the past. SLG for one reason or another doesn't believe minehut is a valuable asset compared to other sources like roblox, vr etc this could be due to minehuts downwards trend or other factors.

funds have nothing to do with voluntary staff, and we clearly saw what happened when minehut commissioned a third party company to handle their moderation

SLG for example is a vendor for Hamilton as they brought on the resources to develop an official Roblox game for them

If your status is set to "online" and you are AFK for a certain time, it will automatically set your status to idle.

Only 1 mod is actually online with the green circle. These mods are voluntary maybe they're paid in minehut credits who knows but that's still fake money. You can also see Aroze is "playing IntelliJ IDEA U..." so you want an unpaid mod to drop everything they're doing to mute someone while they're busy coding... I can empathize with your frustration if they were paid but since they aren't it's a different story.

they're not paid, they're volunteers

and the mods are usually very active even if they're not 'online' in discord

I know facto has said once that even if hes not online you can ping him

some other mods have said similar too

the example that person used was late at night anyway, timezones are another factor in staff effectiveness

Minehut credits is fake money even if they were paid in minehut credits I would still consider them to be voluntary. You need actual real irl money and a contract to be considered a paid staff member imo
