Mobile player cannot be added to my server whitelist?

[potent ice]

Hey so I’m running a server with whitelist enabled and I keep trying to add this mobile user
Whenever I do the command to add him to the whitelist tho, it says user not found
Even tho I’ve joined some other minehut servers with him before and even copied the exact username put in chat when he got kicked from my server because he wasn’t on the whitelist
What should I do?

[spice mango]

turn off whitelist let him join then turn whitelist back on and then add him to the whitelist

fair enough
