Did you make the server in the lobbies or on the website?

Oki, then in the panel, there's Whitelist settings

#

Enable both of those

#

Then go to the Console tab and op yourself, that way you'll also be able to enable the whitelist ingame (since changes on the panel usually require a restart)

Don't use a /

Console automatically adds a / for you, just doesn't make it clear sadly

You also do need to join the server first to count as existing

turn the whitelist off, then join, and do /whitelist add username then do /whitelist on
