i need help so i host my own server from my laptop but i cant have i online 24/7 even when my laptop is turned off so if i buy the external server and connect my server to there can i have it on 24/7
and how do i connect it

you need to buy a 24/7 server plan and not host on your pc and host on minehut if you want it to be 24/7 or you can use some other host

if you cant have the external server on 24/7 and use external plan on minehut it cant help with that

if the actual server which you say your laptop isn't on, then of course you won't be able to connect, regardless on if you're using the 'External Server' feature or not

but how does it work

all that plan does is give you a panel to enter the information of your server, so minehut knows where to send players that want to /join your server

you can't magically have the server be online if the computer it's hosted on is turned off..

then you'll have to keep your server on 24/7 it's that simple

as long as the server is online on your laptop it will be online, if you turn off the laptop then by logic the server will be offline. you can not keep the server online 24/7 if you don't keep the laptop on 24/7

and besides, hosting at home with normal consumer internet on a laptop isn't recommended anyway (in case it's not a private server for some friends for example)
