Hey I'd like to connect my server to Minehut.
It currently consists of a proxy and a survival server.

How would I do to not have minehut conflict with my current proxy?
All help is appreciated!

#

Current setup:

Proxy (People connect through here)
Survival server (Paper)

drowsy mist
#

Extra proxy, or add the flags to current proxy and redirect custom domain to minehut ip

haughty dragon
#

So read something about connecting the external server directly to the paper (survival server)

#

But that would cause issues with UUIDS

#

Guess I need another proxy for the minehut

#

So how much does it cost to hold the server uo 24/7

#

As I see thats not included in the plans

drowsy mist
#

external servers are always active because they are not a physical servers, they're simply an instruction to minehut about where your server is hosted

haughty dragon
#

However it gives an error saying it's not correctly setup when trying to join through Minehut, anything you know how to fix?

#

Or what it could be

#
[18:27:09 INFO]: [connected player] TeXxZz (/198.182.207.112:65333) has disconnected: Unable to connect to lobby: Unable to authenticate.```
#

This is what I can see in my console logs for the proxy

#
[18:31:42 ERROR]: [connected player] TeXxZz (/198.182.207.112:65333): disconnected while connecting to lobby: Unable to authenticate - no data was forwarded by the proxy.
[18:31:42 INFO]: [connected player] TeXxZz (/198.182.207.112:65333) has disconnected: Unable to connect to lobby: Unable to authenticate - no data was forwarded by the proxy.```

are you using modern player info forwarding

#

make sure the secret keys match

haughty dragon
#

[18:44:29 INFO]: /172.31.29.1:5378 lost connection: If you wish to use IP forwarding, please enable it in your BungeeCord config as well!

#

Getting this up now.

Minehut configuration:

IP to 2nd proxy (Velocity)

2nd proxy is connected to "Survival"

Outside Configuration

1st Proxy is the one people connect to.

Forwarded to "Survival"

#

both your proxies are velocity right

#

make sure you don't have bungeeguard installed anywhere, and don't enable the bungeecord option in any of the spigot.yml

haughty dragon
drowsy mist
#

make them both the same

#

having two different proxies won't work

haughty dragon
#

does waterfall work for minehut then?

#

easier to change that one, or it doesnt work with bungeecord?

drowsy mist
#

waterfall is supported, bungeecord isn't

#

because bungeecord doesn't have support for the startup flags needed

haughty dragon
drowsy mist
#

that was meant for if your proxy was velocity

haughty dragon
#

but if we say both are waterfall

#

does it still work to turn off bungeecord?

drowsy mist
#

no turn it on

haughty dragon
#

because if not then waterfall isnt supported

#

bascially

drowsy mist
#

that message was only meant for in case your proxies were velocity, which requires different settings than waterfall
but it's waterfall, so bungeecord needs to be on for ip forwarding to work

#

same goes for bungeeguard, that error messages about data not being forwarded happened because you had it on velocity, make sure you have bungeeguard properly set up for security as well

haughty dragon
#

Do I need RedisBungee for multiple proxys?

drowsy mist
haughty dragon
#

Waterfall is more easy than switching to Velocity then, I used my backup to restore it

#

And also minehut is set to waterfall, same as its proxy

#

But Im getting this error now

drowsy mist
#

Illegal character in scheme name at index 0: "https:
character at index 0 meaning the first character, being the quote ", so try removing the quotes around the URL in the flag

haughty dragon
#

Thanks a lot Tibo, not enough words to thank you! ๐Ÿ˜„

#

So seems like Minehut's flags to copy and paste was wrong yeah

#

Most of the issues was me mixing bungeecord/waterfall and bungeecord settings i think
