#not a good server-hosting platform

The idea is great and all, but the developers just cannot make it work. It is by far one of the most annoying server hosting platforms ever. 1) the servers are down so much of the time. Go to #announcements , you'll see "We are aware of the issue with starting/stopping servers, we are working on it". It would have been acceptable, except IT KEEPS HAPPENING. WAY TOO MANY TIMES. Not a platform to host your SMP on. 2) Chat does not always support latest version, and it should. I don't want to switch to 1 semi-update earlier just to be able to /ad my server once. 3) Servers don't support old versions anymore I guess. Tried 1.12.2 and spent an hour trying to create an SMP. "service not found". Need I say more? Switch to Aternos if you have the same problem.

True, the only benefit is that its one of the only "free" host on minecraft and you dont have to get on the dashboard to start it. Recently, my friends started a smp but its been 5 days we cant play because of glitches. We are considering switching hosts to something that doesnt crash or stop everytime we play.

Then get a paid hosting, minehut is unique because of advertising, the ingame serverlist and free servers. It may be unstable lately, but that has not always been the case. If you really think it's that bad then simply switch

# solar flax Minefort is the name

seconding this, minefort is a good alternative for smaller servers, due to less data being allocated, but less crashes, shutdowns, smaller playerbase, easier plugin interaction etc.

with 40 or so plugins

#

on minefort right

#

1gb of ram, free plan

#

20 tps with occasional lag spikes

#

even with 6 players online

#

though it depends heavily on the configuration of the server software

#

for it to run smoothly on 1gb of ram

#

Minehut could never do this

vital rock
#

wait i looked it up, minefort also uses 1gb of ram for free servers

vital rock
#

minefort is clearly superior

#

also 20 to 10 playerbase for the free servers
