Minehut didnt even make ads more valuable, they just limited them. I advertised so many times yet i've got no players. There are many other ways to get money than making every rank paid monthly and prevent ad bots. At this point, the only people advertising are ad bots since they advertised so many times and attracted so many players and made so much money that they bought patron rank. The ranks were meant to be PERMENANT. You can see the average player count/online servers count decrease after the rank update.

The other players that werent ad botting or didnt have alts probably didnt make much money due to the adbots spamming the chat

I agree it is a bit ridiculous that you have to pay so much for a Minecraft rank and that if it costs as much as it does it really should stay permanent or last longer than a month. I wonder though, do people actually want to go back to a time where advertisements aren’t capped at all? The minehut lobby being absolutely spammed by ads (90% of which are to low-effort servers and players with a sizable amount of alts and/or player base that are advertising the same server) is hellish, there’s absolutely no activity or communication in a lobby packed with advertisements.

The choice to make the lowest rank 800 credits per month is evil too. Voting every day in a given 30 day period yields 750 credits which is 50 short of the amount required.

The biggest evil is the rugpull though. Buying something just to have it rendered useless is disgustingly evil. I know it is legal in the contract, but that doesn't mean anything morally.

A bigger and more pressing problem is the impact this should have on trust with consumers. If they take away my rank that I paid for, why wouldn't they remove my server plan or remove my server slots? Why should I purchase something from a seller I no longer can trust?

I agree, it is very morally incorrect and does remove much trust I once had for Minehut. I had purchased Minehut Unlimited a few months ago for a server that is now dead, and the very same day, Minehut dropped the custom server plans. It was as if my server started to run slower, I later found out due to the timings that the lag was occurring due to a CPU problem when loading chunks

What some people do is pay 800 credits just to get the lowest rank because it gives you chat color so you technically could have 200 legacy patron ads + 30 vip ads and have a total of 230 colored chat ads for 800 credits being the best bang for your buck
