I was on hardcore with hard mode the whole time and the zombies would just kill the villagers. Today I disabled hardcore, and the villagers still get killed instead of infected. Why is this happening? It's getting really annoying.

Just let my zombie hit my villager twice then I killed the zombie and nothing is happening still

There is a different kill/zombify chance depending on the servers difficulty set. For 100% zombify you need difficulty hard.

Apparently it was somehow on easy mode
Even though the minehut site I had it on hard mode
Makes no sense but i guess we gotta use command in-game to set the difficulty 🤷
