#Joystick clicking

It's not "clicking". There's a spring under it, and it's bent, when you move the joystick, it would creak while rotating.
You can try pressing down on the joystick and rotate it a few times clockwise, counter clockwise.
The problem may go away, sometime not. But it won't affect anything beside being annoying.
doesn’t really go away when i do that but yeah i can hear the spring when i do that
yeah damm guess i’ll just have to try and get used to it
so there’s nothing else i can try
Well there is. You can replace the joystick entirely.
This issue can happen on any joystick though ><
You can also disassemble the entire joystick and re-arrange the spring.
But there's a chance you will ruin the joystick
nah i couldn’t do that i’m on a switch lite
Ah yeah, replace the joystick is a pain in the ass on the Lite
do you know what might of caused this to happen
randomness
The spring is there to push the joystick backup when you click it down
But you also rotate the joystick as you use it, and leading to rotating the spring.
right so it’s a common issue then
At some point the spring is wound up too much and bend itself, it cannot unwound and keep making those noise.
Yeah it is
alright damm i’ll just have to hope it either goes away or i get used to it
I should make a tag for it lol
I wanted to in the past but tags and guides... sometime people don't like how "cold" they are
If you want to, keep doing what I told you
Press down > hold > rotate back and forth
Sometime it needs a few tries
it does work but then it just comes back after a few seconds
damm
btw will this lead into stick drift
