#hi green tint

You can't. This is a manufacturing issue. Each display manufacturer has a slightly different variation and calibration. And Nintendo has contracts with multiple manufacturers for the OLED panel, hence the different in color balance.
This happened on the LCD panel for the normal Switch as well.
On normal Switch, it's a yellow or blueish tint. And most people prefer the latter.
The only thing you can do about it is simply buy one, and check if the monitor is acceptable for your eyes. If not, then return and exchange it for a different one till you get the one you want.
FWIW, I have an OLED Switch and it has no green tint.
i know that's not really an answer to your question but it is one data point to consider
No green tint on mine afaik
Like someone said on youtube video that they avoided the green tint when they took the brightness to 100% and autobrightness on is that false ?
I could only use the white theme then it wouldnt be that easy to see it then ?
Its well only the black theme thats soo good to see the green tint
Lucky
Lucky what theme you use black or the white one
I use the dark theme
Oki have you tried to dim the brightness
I use dark theme as well as I'm not a monster
To low thats what people do to see if its green tint
No green tint for me
yeah, like i said, no green tint here
looks pretty tint-free to me
Yeah right i bought this for 2 years ago and i just picked it and ive never heard about the green tint or the blue or yellow tint at all lol
Well when i buy my oled on tuesday i gonna make sure to not use the protector if it should have intense green tint
I mostly play in handheld mode
what "protector" are you talking about? a screen protector?
you really should install one immediately upon purchasing the console
Mah first i gonna see if its a intense green tint if not then i just gonna go ahead and put it on
okay
I got the skinomi matte with anti glare for maybe 11 USD
Well worth it
Well maybe i just gonna open the nintendo switch while i have bought it and do it in store to ask the people to install for me XD
After i have set it up
Haha
the screen protector I bought has a plastic guide to make installation easy
Because its too dumb if i took the screen protecter on and then it was a green tint and needed to sent it back
Like i will most likely have the background theme on white then i would see the green tint haha
the screen protector for the original Switch won't fit the OLED switch (AFAIK anyway)
Bruh i buying a case for my oled that have hard glass protector for the oled and the old one
Same day i gonna buy the oled so
well, good luck
Thanks
Youtube is the most random source of information you can get. If you see it's a random person saying it then it's mostly false.
There are certain channels with more legitimate knowledge and experience that you can watch, but the problem is they don't discuss about everything you need to know.
Yeah thats why i asked here to confirm if it was true or false
Which one is it? I kinda need something like that for the recommendation guide.
let me check, hang on
it's a glass screen protector
No, he meant a glass protector with a plastic guide
Yo yeah
It's like a frame, you put on the Switch then it helps align the protector
Very handy for anyone who's new to applying these
@stable condor https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09JG8V83Z
Yeah i most likely let the people in the gaming store apply it for me
oooh it's actually a brand we have in the list but this is an updated version
Wait, let me check
SCREEN PROTECTOR RECOMMENDATIONS
• Why should you get a Screen Protector?
The Nintendo Switch's screen is made from plastic. So the Nintendo Switch's screen can get scuffed, smudged, scratched, or even cracked. The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) has anti-scattering adhesive film to help protect the glass screen, but a screen protector is still recommended for an extra layer of protection.
※ The brand doesn't matter much since this type of product is often similar in quality across all brands. You should find one that's accessible for you and maybe with some extra benefits like anti-glare or blue light protection. Tempered glass option is often the better choice.
• Normal Switch: amFilm, iVolver , Orzly, Supershieldz
• Switch Lite: amFilm, ZAGG, Orzly
• Switch OLED: amFilm, iVoler, Supershieldz Anti-glare
you're welcome!
Anyway, @dreamy plume , one thing about these green tint is that.. it's actually rather subjective as well
Because each person has a different perception of color
so for some, when they look at a OLED with green tint, it would look totally normal or acceptable to them
and this perception also changes with brightness and the ambient lightning
That's why I recommend you buy it, check it on your own then decide what to do after
What if it's someone with red/green color blindness lol
congratulations?
Brave, those things are plastic, can't stop it from being scratched
What the... I can't find any alignment kit for normal Switch
until you accidentally get a big scratch in it
The problem is actually: If you damage the screen somehow, the cost of repairing it is quite high
Then it's fine for you, no worry
How do i say this i forgot
safety of mind?
peace of mind
yeah that lol
@stable condor the reason why ive never thought of getting protector is that ive had my v1 and never had any screen protector on it lol and not ecen a little rips in it
😊
So yeah 🙂
Yeah, if you are someone who's very careful with their Switch, then you don't have to worry about it too much
Im always very careful with every thing i have 🙂
Can you por this one in there as well? It’s Matte and a fairly simple install as well
http://www.skinomi.com/sk39658-matte-nintendo-switch-oled-console-screen-protector.html
I actually have seen this brand before but I have no experience with it.
Is there any stand out quality about this brand? Not that screen protector has to be difference, just want to know.
It’s been pretty good to me
I like the matte look and anti-glare as well
The standout thing I guess is it has a of liquid applicator that acts as a dual purpose screen cleaner
I look through it, seems to be the plastic type that has self-healing effect
Since it uses water to apply, it's indeed easier
I once have something similar for my NDS
Let me do a bit more digging and consider it for the list, thanks
@tropic cedar Updated the tag, rewrote some stuffs. It's good to give people alternative so I add Skinomi to it. Thanks for the recommendation.
SCREEN PROTECTOR RECOMMENDATIONS
The Nintendo Switch's screen is made from plastic. So the Nintendo Switch's screen can get scuffed, smudged, scratched, or even cracked. Repairing a heavily damaged screen is costly. You should get a screen protector to prevent such scenario. The brand doesn't often matter that much. You should find one that's accessible for you and with extra features that fit your need. Tempered glass option is often the better choice.
※ Note: The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) has anti-scattering adhesive film to help protect the glass screen, it's not a screen protector, don't peel it off. A different screen protector can still be put on top of it for extra protection.
■ Normal Switch: amFilm, iVolver , Orzly, Supershieldz
■ Switch Lite: amFilm, ZAGG, Orzly
■ Switch OLED: amFilm, iVoler, Supershieldz Anti-glare
■ Self-healing plastic film: Skinomi
Np!
Thank you!
@stable condor since im buying a case that include tempred glass for the old switch and the new oled i might aswell ask one of the worker to put it on for me since i have no experience to apply it myself
And i dont really want to fuck it up myself lmao
You should. That's what I often recommend people to do as well.
