my Nintendo switch I've had since 2017 with no issues like this whenever this happened i charged it and it came alive but just recently I saw this black screen nothing popped up, ive been keeping it plugged in for days and no results

Are you using a 3rd party dock?

Did you let it inactive, no charging for a long period of time (1 week or more)?

METHOD TO FIX BOOT ISSUE

If you are experiencing boot issue, your Switch won't turn on, etc.. try this:

Make sure the Switch is plugged in directly to the AC adapter.
Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
At exactly the 15th second, lift your finger briefly then press down once to turn the Switch on.
