Slightly abnormal request but I’m 20 and work offshore on oil platforms, ships etc and am planning to get a Switch Oled just for entertainment during downtime.

Haven’t played games for years but used to favour Pc games such as Rust, Ark etc. Basically non-cartoonish open-worlds. Wouldn’t mind something chill and peaceful either so long as it is entertaining.

So far Skyrim, The Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed have caught my eye if anyone has experience with them.

If you all could recommend favourably non-anime/children games, I’d appreciate the input.

Thanks

Try breath of the wild, ik it doesn't have realistic graphics, but it has many elements of the games you listed, you should also look into stranded deep, dark souls, the outer worlds, and the gta trilogy

I wouldn’t get Ark or gta trilogy(if you haven’t played it deff not worth the price) and ark runs like ass on switch but, I’d recommend Devil may cry 1/3, Borderlands, hollow knight(a little cartoon-ish) witcher, hades, stardew valley/ animal crossing(also kinda cartoon-ish but still amazing chill games) Bioshock 1/2, Mortal Kombat, L.A Noire just recently got added which is a pretty good game not sure how it runs tho. Just a few 👍

Saints row 3/4 deff some above average games not sure how they run, all the dooms

The south park games were pretty decent

Skyrim is a good game I’d recommend getting for switch aswell

If you can handle garbage framerate and weird gameplay, Disaster Report 4

#

It's Japanese but not anime. Follows your character trying to get home after an earthquake ravages Japan

#

The gameplay mostly consists of running around small open areas talking to people and helping them out through a series of interactions with other people

#

There's survival mechanics but they're really half baked and don't do anything

#

Honestly the main draw for me was the story. It's a very grounded, realistic story about survival and helping your fellow man

#

The gameplay is a bit tedious due to the game not being good at guiding you to your next objective, and the aftershocks from the earthquake are scripted so they're not that dangerous. There's a whole rafting section that is fucking horrendous due to alot of traveling to different points that are on opposite sides of the area. The framerate is like 20 fps and dips to 15. But stick through these problems and you'll be rewarded with an experience unlike any other.
