Hi, my Switch won't dock, as in it will not display on my TV. I know it's not the docks, nor the HDMI cables, nor the TV's fault, as I've tried different combinations of all 3. My Switch charges just fine, I use the charger it came with. The dock does show the green LED on the bottom when it's docked and the screen of the Switch does go black during that. I've tried connecting all the cables in the recommended order but still nothing. Any ideas?

So just to clarify, you have tested your Switch on different dock, different TV, different HDMI cable? @modern adder
Yes
Can you test something for me?
Go to System Settings > TV Settings> Lower the resolution to lowest. Test on the dock again.
Then go back to the same setting, change RGB setting, test the dock again.
Tell me the result later
What was the status of the LED light on the dock for the whole time you test this out?
It will always flash one when you dock the Switch
but after that, does it stay lit?
it does stay lit
Hmm
That light indicates a solid HDMI connection
I'm afraid it might have to do with your Switch
darn
Since you already test it on a different dock and TV already
We can try a few more things before considering a hardware repair
but it might be futile
You want to try it?

HOW TO INITIALIZE WITHOUT DELETING SAVE DATA
§ Initialization is a semi-format solution that will wipe all the data on your Switch, except for save data, screenshots, and your user account information, then restore the system software back to its original state. It will help eliminating software issues.
※ Note: This process will delete all games' install data and pictures/videos stored on your microSD card, since it will format your card . Your save data will be safe. You can backup or move the data around in System Setting ⚙️ > Data Management.
⚠︎ Exception: Animal Crossing: New Horizon's save data will be lost through this process. Please backup or transfer your ACNH's save data before attempting this.
1. Ensure the console is power off.
If the console does not respond, hold down the

2. With the console powered off, press and hold down theVolume up (+)andVolume down (-)buttons, then press thePOWER Buttonto turn the system on.

This is a software soft-format
Read it carefully
If this one didn't help then it's hardware 100%
I've tried the monkey magic method
I believe it's hardware I've done this second method as well
That sucks
Looks like I'll have to send it in for repair
Well, that's about it then
Do you have any idea what in particular could be the cause of this
There are several components involve, including the USB-C port, a bunch of chips like P13USB, M92T36...
There are cases where it's quite hard to fix as well
