Hello everyone, I have a Switch online 3 month membership card. However with a friend, I plan to get the family expansion pass. I wanted to ask, what will happen to the 3-month membership? I see that with the days I have left, I will get a discount, correct? Does the number of days get attached to the family expansion pass?

I believe if you're buying the family pass, then the discount will be applied depending on how many days left you have on your individual membership

I am still trying to figure out if I should use my 3-month card or not. More than likely, I will try to keep up the yearly subscription to the expansion pass. However, you never know what may happen in the future.

I am paying for this with a friend. He is supposed to give me $40.00. For my birthday, other friends gave me eshop gift cards which I am going to use. I am concerned if I use the 3 month sub for a discount, my friend may feel bothered.

Well, you should look at your 3 month subscription card like an eshop gift card

that you can use to spend on the family expansion pass

also it's not like you are going to get a big discount. The 3 month subscription will only get you $5 off
