Pokemon Sword occasional "The software closed because an error occured"

I have a physicsl copy of Pokemon Sword that never used to have any problems, but as of recent, occasionally it would shut down and give me the error mentioned above.

Is there any problems that can cause this? If there's any more information you need, just ping me and I'll give it

How much playtime have you spent on the game?

I’d assume the cartridge contains corrupt data or the digital save of the game that the switch tries to boot up when you try to play it has the corrupt data making it crash 1 fix could be to lose all that save data suggest backing the save before erasing any saves from the game at all otherwise you lose everything and might not be issue

i deleted the save data and reset recently

I think it might have something to do with the cartridge

cause the back of it, like the gold plated parts were pretty dirty

so I used a q-tip and just got some hanging dirt out and I haven't experienced a problem so far

if it had dirt covering that area it could affect it because the switch cant exactly fully read the cartridge if the gold plates are being blocked
