My switch one won’t read my micro SD card no matter what I do and I don’t want to reformat the card because there’s data on there I want, I tried blowing on it to clean any possible debris and it won’t work and it always shows the unable to read card message, but only when I forcibly push it in beyond where it normally sits, any solutions?

@bold fjord where did you buy the sd card, and what brand is it?
I don’t have a PC
And it hasn’t been working for about a year but I’ve been able to brute force it enough
But now it won’t even read
where did you buy it from @bold fjord
I don’t remember it’s been years, I got it in 2017
OK I just wanted to rule out the possibility of it being fake
Most likely Walmart or target
Memory failure could be in play here, they're not supposed to go bad but it's been almost nine years
I will say just assuming worst case scenario, you don't actually have any essential data stored that can't be recovered except screenshots/videos
Save data cannot be stored on the SD card, and your games can be redownloaded
Weird thing is I have DLC for one of the games and I tried loading it and it says I don’t own it anymore
what exactly does it say
like the exact message
For the SD card failure or in the game
"I don't own it anymore" here
Okay basically, I’m on the main menu and it has options for all the versions of the game
And I try to select all the DLC
But then it takes me to the shop to make me buy it when I know I already have
My switch 1 is not recognising my micro SD switch card
How do i check if the card is the problem or the switch is the problem?
Try the card on a PC that reads SD cards, using an adapter if necessary
I dont have an adapter to read it
Get one...
my switch isnt recognising my sd card
is there a way to fix it then?
and if its the device thats the issue what do i do? same with the SD card being the issue?
I think it's unlikely the switch is the issue unless you broke it. If you can physically insert the sd card until it clicks, then remove it, the switch is probably fine
