I'm trying to redeem a code but when I enter it, I just get the error code 2813-0069, I've tried both my switch and my switch 2 and it's the same on both, I'm sure I'm entering it correctly and I've check the nintendo network status page and they aren't reporting anything wrong so I have no idea what's the matter

It's not your fault 🤦♀️ Nintendo didn't activate the code before selling it
I'm not sure why it happens too. Shouldn't the codes activate automatically when they generate them?
