#How does saving work between Switch 1 and Switch 2?

Hi all, just got a switch 2 and am wondering how the saves work between them. This was with a xenoblade game if that matters.

  1. I system transferred data from Switch 1 to Switch 2.
  2. On Switch 1, I move to another location and saved, just to see if the this New Save 1 will carry over when I pop the cartridge into Switch 2 (since I did a system transfer).
  3. On Switch 2, I open the game and see that New Save 1 is indeed here. I move around a bit and save to create New Save 2.
  4. Popping the cartridge from Switch 2 back to Switch 1, I only see New Save 1, not the updated point at New Save 2 from playing on Switch 2.

Is this supposed to be the case?

Ok so like how it works is when you system transfer lets say you are 28% into a game on switch one when you transfer you get that 28% if you make and progress on the switch one or 2 it will not save to the other console I could be wrong I think that’s how it works

I would recommend to not use Cloud save when you have 2 Switches tho, there is a possibility your Switches could get banned because it might alert Nintendo you are "sharing" your account or something
