#Joycons don't get recognized as two - they don't light up the LEDs as well - they work fine as "one"

Hello everyone.

Quick support question.

Until a couple of days ago, I would just take out both joycons from the console and they would immediately light up the green lights on top and one would be on slot 1 and the other on slot 2.

Now, I've tried everything and they won't synchronize as two joycons, they always consider to be one (as if attached to the control panel of sorts).

The lights wont light up, and I tried to press sync button, tried to do a search by controller, let them run out of battery, etc.

Anyone had this before? They work fine as "one"

If that doesn’t work I’d advise you contact Nintendo support because this sounds like it could be a hardware problem.

Yeah, just called them - nothing they can do but to send the controller there. Apparently repair might go as up as 30€ so might as well test another set of joy cons first
