#what happens when you "Initialize Console Without Deleting Save Data"?

I just need to make sure that it won't delete my save data for the games that I have backed up to the cloud, and games that can't be backed up to the cloud?
but does it delete anything else besides save data? like photos, videos, and SD card storage? like data that was moved to the SD card, and will I need to move that data from the SD card to the switch's memory storage thing?.

I was thinking about doing this process to try and get my switch fixed, because it's like your account needs to be the account of the one sending it to Nintendo, like your guardian or parent, and my account is connected to my step-father and not my actual father.

And my step-dad hasn't responded to any texts that I sent to him (very busy man).
so I'm really down to the last straw here

It will delete everything except save data.

#

If you don’t want your SD card erased, remove it from the console before initializing

#

(I don’t think it erases the SD card but better safe than sorry)

#

@solemn cargo are you sending the console to Nintendo for repair? Or are you using an independent repair shop?

Well, if it’s your Nintendo account, then you will be the one to generate the RMA ticket
