As the title says, Im a relatively new pokemon fan, and im looking to start with some switch games to dip my toes in. I just bought Pokemon sword, are there any other good switch pokemon games out there? Looking to try Legends Arceus

Legends Arceus is probably your best bet for Switch pokemon games. It's the most widely liked.

Imo they are all good and they all have their setbacks. I straight up didn’t like the diamond and pearl remakes though.
