#Switch connecting to tv ONLY when doing specific things

So a while ago I made a post requesting for help for the switch since it wasnt connecting to the dock... it got totally ignored, so my brother and I started improvising solutions

He somehow fixed it but ONLY when doing this specific things and idk why it worked or what should we do at all to turn it back to normal.

  1. Change the Power Adapter to my Mac's power adapter
  2. Disconnect and connect at least 20 times the power adapter
  3. Turn on the Switch inside the dock, take the joycons off
  4. Press ZL and ZR on the joycons so they connect and somehow the switch connected to the tv

Now the Switch Dock works again but the switch is stuck at 480p by default, if we press to change the resolution it doesnt let us, we dont know what to do at this point. Also, its pretty inconsistent, sometimes the switch wont turn on at all, what's causing this??

Update: So my brother was able to fix the resolution to 1080p disconnecting and connecting the HDMI and hitting a little the switch dock, idk why that worked. But the moment we disconnected the switch from the dock, the same problem happened again and repeating those steps isnt fixing it, so it works whenever it wants. Sometimes it works, somethings it doesnt. 😭

Was every cable and the dock you were using before your brother and you fixed it OEM?
