I’m thinking of buying one of the monster hunter games as they are fun as from what I saw, I was wondering which one I should start off with, hunter rise or generations ultimate?

Rise is quite short without dlc but its much easier to play than xx. I prefer xx cus there's just a lot more stuff to do but as a newcomer it can feel quite clunky and the learning curve is much steeper than rise but I think there's just more depth to xx if you put in the effort to learn the mechanics

I’m sure I can get used to the mechanics, I really am just looking for a long time game I can play without getting bored 🔥

I'm definitely biased cus I played all 3ds titles before so I had a lot of experience and cleared the main story of rise in 5 hours I still think its a good game its comes down to whether you want to fight monsters boss rush style (rise) or be more methodical (xx)
I put in like 70 hours in xx first 2 weeks I got it so it was definitely addicting for me I mainly got so many hours playing multilayer because you can play all the solo quests online

Yea xx definitely has more stuff in it than rise I think some weapons just got dumbed down in rise xx also has some goofy quests so you can wear links attire and have other collab stuff
