How do I play the shooter games on n64 online

I wanted to play goldeneye and jet force gemini but my aim is so bad, the controls are bonked

I can play console shooters fine usually and maybe it's better with an actual n64 controlller but idk these feel so bad

I know there's a two stick mode for goldeneye but it doesn't really work on switch afaik

Manual aiming stinks, I think the way it should work is you enter it and your aiming reticle stays wherever you point it to until you either move it or press button again to leave manual aiming

Instead it snaps back to the middle of the screen whenever you let go of the stick and I hate it

actually I do have goldeneye on n64 and played like 15 minutes of it on the actual console. It's still wonky but a single controller feels a LOT better there somehow

I made a good custom control setup for perfect dark imo

Set the left joystick to the right joycon. Then set R to ZL and set ZR to A
For the Left Joycon, set right joystick to left joycon, leave L as it is and set ZL as R.

There's only 28 rated M n64 games total. So a library of like 10 - 15 would be pretty solid on that thing.

Rare has quite the ambitious games, some of them adding multiplayer on top of them, in certain genres, with out Rare, I think we would be ok. Fighting genre really only goes to smash 64, nothing else can really be compared on the 64 for example. But when it comes to shooting, you would be left with 🍆 nothing

I got a couple other f zero velocity heads last weekend, one of them as usual killing it, probably won the majority, the other I still had to watch out for, I will say the main guy with the wind walker definitely took the 1st cup overall, the last cup in bishop I believe with the fire fields I got aggressive with the bumps and tried not to touch a single mine at least the last fire field, all about surviving which I assumed the hot violet I rocked the whole time must’ve had a slight edge on the players. Gotta give credit to the one guy using fireball too, good races

Unfortunately f zero X it was so even, I took 1st every time, and unfortunately, not f zero gp legend or climax, I really wanna test their skill in the rest of f zero games, at least there’s 99, but I don’t have them on discord

They made me want to tap in nso more, gonna work on my DKR skill once I finally beat TTYD OG, somebody that plays nso and such that ik is definitely better then me at it. The hover glitch I didn’t find out until recently but kart I knew. Bosses I gotta figure out too, just like in maximum velocity i main a slower character, pipsy, so I gotta be on point

Body harvest was so damn hard

I could never beat it as a kid.

The save points in that game were so far spread apart. And you could be half an hour into a level before it wanted you to do something that could instakill you and send you back hours.

Man I hated those planes.

They didn't function properly or I just sucked at them.

But basically, this one part had you fly a plane and if you hit anything it blows up.

And it was at the end of a very long level too.

Fun fact. That game was made by Rockstar before they rebranded to Rockstar.

To me, it almost feels complete. So when it doesn't get any updates I don't mind it since there's not many notable titles left.

NSO turok is pretty solid if you have a custom button mapping but it’s da cameras that make the game feel awkward. Up is down and down is up :/
But I do like killing dinosaurs, insects & evil natives in da jungles. I’m on level 3 and it’s decent but the nightdive version of Turok has better cameras than NSO

Shade and Ifrit are my favorite

I also find it unique how each one has 2 or 3 power uses.

For example, the fairy can use water but also heal, you tap the button or hold it.

Highly recommend it on the genesis. It's a great hidden gem that I'm glad I clicked on out of curiosity.

Your video didn't talk about f-zero GX possibly being on NSO. It was just about its mechanics. Okay well it's gameplay mechanics doesn't mean anything about whether the game may possibly be on NSO or not.

Also this is a NSO classic channel. Just cause F-Zero and X was on NSO doesn't mean a video that is only talking about GX gameplay mechanics is relevant to NSO
