Because I find it weird how the file size is 115mbs for TWO games.

And the regular one is 726mbs

For 27 games.

Btw, the file rom size for jet force is almost 30mbs (27). And goldeneye is almost 12.

So that doesn't add up to 115mbs.

I know the system itself takes some up but still, the NES one is 124mbs. And that has aloooot more games.

Btw the wide screen is letter boxed for some reason. Goldeneye doesn't do this.

Also the Japanese version censors their heads coming off

In the international version, their heads were collectibles

Collecting a certain amount had a cheat for their threshold

Like collect 100 heads and you get the kid version of the characters

So some cutscenes are gone. And the heads don't come off the enemies. Removing that collectible entirely

Which means no Diddy Kong racing track I'm guessing. Since you needed 300 heads for that.

I play it like goldeneye. Run and gun. It's fun but the framerate is pretty bad at times.

When 1080 drops it can be annoying to pick unlockable stuff, make sure you press A first so you see character avatar pop up, then you can hold whatever button you need to access an unlockable, doing it too early will result in it not working so just follow those steps

So Ricky Winterborn is the only character in the game to be able to do the shifty move. In training you need to do all the tricks to get the penguin board. Couldn’t find thag knowledge anywhere and wasted alot of extra time

I did training first thing and didn't realize that board was the best when I got it.

I was like "huh, unlockables, that's cool!"

They could've very easily just drip fed the 3 games for the next 3 months but went, nah its Christmas season just do a clearance on all remaining games.

And the cool thing is, all 3 games have winter related themes in them.

1080 is self explanatory, jet force has multiple ice/snow locations and planets, harvest moon has the winter season.

To an outsider, it would seem like Nintendo dropped 3 games and 2 of them were unknown surprise drops. And for Jet force it is, but we knew of harvest moon for Japan so for it getting an official localization with graphical enhancements is a great surprise.

For the remaining library. There definitely is more heavy hitters they can have and alot of dual or triple releases (we probably won't get again) that they'll drop. I'm leaning more towards dual releases if they're not that crazy.

For example Smash, DK64, Banjo Tooie, Perfect Dark, Conker, Mischief makers, Rayman 2, the 3 Megaman games primarily Hero, Resident Evil 2, Goemon games, Diddykong racing

Harvest moon is in IGNs top 50 N64 games of all time.

When you compare them like that, yes. However 1080 is harder is control and play while Excitebike is easier to control, even if the CPU difficulty is harder.

Sometimes in 1080 landing just doesn't work

Jet force gemeni I probably won’t play single player but multiplayer is a good addition. Not I love with it but I’ll mess around, also depends which mode. I like shorter matches, dislike settings that make it too long

Harvest Moon looks good, but I don’t wanna get rusty on the multiplayer stuff, I’m just so into the multiplayer aspect of nso n64 and a bit of gba so when velocity comes out that will be fun

For example I got smoked recently on wave race 64 so I hit the time trials again, then I lost to a friend in puzzle league, came back winning the next 3 rounds in a row, but he had to leave so it was 1-1

I did most of the damage too both of them, when I tagged I had one of the players to 58HP, so I wanted my teammate to finish em off, you heal up to 150 when you tag, and you can tag every 7 seconds I believe, so it can be difficult to finish the job. Especially when you have invincibility when you tag just like waking up from going DOWN

Fell a lot in 1080 after playing a ton of wave race, i improved a lot in wave race but then stumbled a lot more in 1080 in expert match race. Still remembered mostly I should go for though still did good in golden Forrest and nearly died in dragon cave. Retired in deadly fall. Fun though. Even messed around with excite bike again it’s not bad but I prefer the open terrain tracks

I've played this game, it's pretty wild. Basically it's two fighting games in one. Both games have 3D polygonal fighters, but the Chibi game is only on a 2D plane and more traditional like Street Fighter. The other game is 3D like Tekken with the grown up characters. I just like the multiplayers but if the settings arnt just right the matches take too long. Medium or heavy gun mode settings help make the matches faster in multiplayer, if your gonna do light gun mode then the other settings should have a timer or shortened kills/lives

Made a 1080 penguin board guide, you can do this at any point of the game fairly quickly. All you need is ricky and akari to complete it. Penguin board I think just has all around better stats and you can use with any boarder over any board.

It’s pretty fun, usually we just randomize our parts in tag match, C Up is the tag button in tag match instead of that body collision move. And then when you switch out and under 150 HP, you regenerate your HP back up to 150HP. Also there’s about a 7 second cool down before you can tag again.

Hmmmm, I don’t think they are that bad to me anymore, Banshee Boardwalk sucks for me because there’s a bunch of places you can fall off. Yoshi valley you can but It has more room so at least if your sort of aware your not gonna fall as much in comparison

Lol. Idk, it’s not that glamorous. I guess there’s no sensitivity for jumps or jumps at all. It’s just air dashes I believe. Strike vanishers I think now just dash through walls in that game. And you can shoot guns through walls but press the gun and bomb buttons at the same time but it has a big cool down and you are immobile temporally, new parts though, most notably the RayAirs, which introduces the Lighting Sky model. Which is basically one giant air dash like a plane

I’d say rn it’s a good year for remakes to end the switch cycle, just save the new nso for the next system, that way we don’t get left with crappy nso connection stuff like n64

And devs can work with new and improved hardware maybe it will make things easier

To remake 620 GameCube games for example is absurd, there will be more then enough available to bring to nso.
Personally they could give the single player games to whatever new nso systems the remake treatment and I could care less. Just save my precious multiplayer games for nso.
If there is a multiplayer game that gets the remake treatment idk if I will get it it depends. Needs online most likely as well.

I still didn’t get network transmission, idk if I’ll still get it at this point, if I do it won’t be for a long time, I wonder how it did in terms of sales.
