Sonic adventure 2 has a lot of Rogue levels. Those were very challenging but fun. Add so much more variety to Sonic games. A whole game like that would be interesting especially with so many different challenges and missions and objectives

SA2 is phenomenal for all the levels variety. You got sonic like snowboarding on the streets. A bunch of racing and mech levels. So many different gameplay.

Apparently crossworlds has 200cc at launch and mkw doesn't but on a serious note, I've only seen the beta so not entirely sure? It doesn't seem terrible from what I've seen but people are saying the tricks kind of lag and are a bit slower than previous games.
But otherwise I'm excited for it and will be curious to see what characters they add. I don't think it's seriously competing with MKW but I think SEGA at least wants to put out a product that shows they can make quality games
Because their reputation has obviously suffered over the years and they're starting to come back thanks to stuff like Mania, Sonic movies, Frontiers, and Shadow Gens

How does this game compare to Mario Kart
It's definitely got a different vibe to it. The full-size cars have a bit more weight and girth than simple go-karts, making turns feel a bit heavier. The flight sections are more involved than the glider sections in Mario Kart (though less strategic since you're not aiming for wind currents to get shortcuts), and the boat sections have a bit more strategy than Mario Kart's underwater sections, since the waves will send you into the air for tricks.
Hit Enter too early, oops
Tracks being dynamic is a bit more of a recurring thing, too. A track might change in the middle of a race, like platforms falling or doors closing, so you'll have to switch to flight or boating in order to keep going on the same route. Mario Kart does this too, but not as much as in Sonic racing games.
Think of it like this:
If Mario Kart is like Forza Motorsport, then Mario Kart World is more like the Forza Horizon series, while Sonic racing titles are more like the Gran Turismo series.

Maybe not on day one although they made a strong case with Hatsune Miku but I'll definitely be picking it up around Christmas, I outright refuse to pay that much for any game any way.
But I played the Beta and really enjoyed the each track, the feel of driving and drifting, the customisation and the crossworlds mechanic so yeah guaranteed buy from me when I find it cheaper

There’s mkworld, f-zero gx, hopefully fast fusion gets an online update soon, Kirby air riders on the way, and personally I have yet to play the latest monkey ball which seems a reasonable price. Also yeah, it's a bit of both. It's a large overworld where you find the stuff you need to progress like in Odyssey, and they're not as big as something like BotW, but then there are portals leading to Cyberspace levels that test your skills like in BotW

So I'm gonna be honest, I dunno where else to go for this
But I'm using an emulator that lets me hot swap my genesis games
And I swapped out Sonic 2 for Sonic 1
And when I did, it gave me a ton of errors
And after I passed through them all, all hell broke loose
The game flashed, then faded to white, where I got sent to the SONIC 1 special zone, even though I was still playing SONIC 2
It faded again, gave me a "Special Stage Complete" screen, and crashed HARD
It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life

There's an NES emulator that can do tool-assisted speed runs that involve hotswapping carts

I actually got another crazy one
Where I was on the Options screen for sonic 2, I swapped to sonic 1.
Gave me errors and stuff, and then it faded to white
Then it loaded up a whacked out greenhill, with everything loaded in. But animations didn't work properly, and some assets like rings and some enemies were loaded in too, but weren't showing up on screen
It also kept playing the options theme with the greenhill soundfont which was super cool

Is the Switch 2 version good? I asked a friend about it and she said she didn't like it because apparently the controls feel weird and messy

So far all my Switch 2 games are digital but not really by choice, Pokemon came bundled with the digital version and the physical for Metroid Prime 4 was sold out everywhere I went a day after launch so I bought it on the eshop because I was just too excited for that
Im gonna pick up DK Bananza physical soon as well, I like the amiibo bundle they have on the my nintendo store

I have bought every switch 2 game physical and I'm trying to keep most of my library physical when I can, last time I mostly bought digital games. But now there's gkc so that kind of sucks but whatever 😭

I feel your pain, if it's a gkc I just go with the digital because I don't see the point of them. Least Nintendo are gonna be releasing smaller and larger size cartridges although I doubt that's going to change a whole lot

I heard the support studio they brought in were the devs who made Initial D so that explains why the driving felt so good on the demo

Why did they enable world match during festivals? It used to take 10 seconds to get a match, now it takes a full minute

I hate when it's a 6x point boost and I get 1st while my team all get last, bad players should be banned from online play when teams are involved
