WSIB??? risk of rain 2 or streets of rogue(dlc included)

major roguelite fan here. both games have been in my wishlist for some time, however they both seem fantastic and different to the point i can choose. which has a more engaging gameplay loop, more content and replayability?

PS: ive heard risk of rain 2 runs bad on switch so thats also kinda holding me back

From my experience, ROR2 runs good on Switch. Streets of Rogue is really good too. I think if you can only choose one, get ROR2. After I beat SoR my first time I had no desire to come back to it; probably the only Roguelike I’ve stopped playing after completing it once

I’m sure it does. But the class choice in ROR2 are very different while the classes in SoR aren’t that much different from what I remember

It’s very good. Maybe play a few runs on your own to get a feel and to get a feel and idea of what to do if you haven’t played the first game

i just bought ror2, waiting for it to finish downloading

i have all the other big boy roguelites(hades, BOI, gungeon, NT, dead cells)

ror2 seems to have a fun online community tho

If you like turn based games or RPGs, darkest dungeon, for the king, slay the spire, into the breach, and fights in tight spaces are all really good too

20xx is really good for 2-player online coop. And 30xx released recently as well but I haven’t tried it yet

Yeah I’m always playing at least one Roguelike at any given time. Fights in Tight spaces is my current one and STS I always come back to every few months like right now 😂

They actually updated ROR2. It plays much smoother compared to last year

I started with 2 and it was extremely difficult. I would practice 2 with a friend online and then when I wasn’t home or playing solo I’d play 1 which was slower and somewhat easier. But after getting enough sessions in 2, I started getting really good at it eventually and now both are a ton of fun. Still not easy but a lot less intimidating now

I found one more than I thought; Going Under and Salt & Sanctuary. S&A is basically a 2D dark souls with local 2-player coop.

Most of the classes play quite differently. Play the one that matches your playstyle. I enjoy playing the bow character from last I played but to each their own
