Very slow loading time in games. Please help. This started about a year and a half ago. Very slow loading times and because of that i cant play online games since it takes so long to load into a match, the match starts and then it kicks me for being afk (example games like rocket league, fortnite). Ive looked all over google and it says its an internet issue, though i have a ps4 and obv my phone that i play games on and i never have internet issues and still dont. I tried testing my connection on switch and it comes back as a success and 4.9mbps or more. Ive had my switch for like 3 years now and before i never had issues like this! idk what to do, i want to play on my switch. Idk if it matters but my switch model is HAC-001

Also let meention that, when i get into a game IF I DO get into a game, it runs normally, no lag, no internet issues, just awful loading time

Probably just an internet (modem router) issue. Try to bring your switch closer to your router while playing and/or run a diagnostics test on your internet to see how well it’s running.

It probably isn’t an issue with the switch in itself

If it's not an internet issue, maybe it's a storage issue? If you have a lot of games hogging storage, I wouldn't be shocked if your loading times suffer because of it.

I think all of the assets and everything are stored into the game card as opposed to the system..

And your connection test there does show a rather weak connection speed.

Yes, and in games that i bought recently that i cant compare to before (like pvz bfn)

There are very few reasons for slow down in games performance (not online):

  • microSD issue.
  • Internal memory chip issue.
  • Overheating.
