I got Pokémon legends arceus second hand from eBay and every time I put it into my switch it says “the game card could not be read. Please remove and reinsert it.” I tried doing that multiple times and I tried restarting my switch but nothing helped. The seller didn’t have any bad reviews so I know It’s not a scam does anyone know how to fix this?

any issues with other game cart?
No it’s just that one
cleaning cart slot isn't that easy, potentially more damage if the user isn't careful enough
Go clean the cart's contacts instead, it's the golden part
use an eraser first, then wipe off the dirt well
If that didn't work, you can try IPA
clean
CLEANING GUIDELINES
§ Cleaning is not only a way to maintain hygiene but can also help prolonging the life of your console. Be sure to turn off the Switch before cleaning. And wait for any excess liquid to dry before using it.
■ For daily cleaning: Nintendo recommends using a soft cloth (microfiber is best), dampen with a bit of water, wipe gently on the surface of the console. Avoid any abrasive cleaning cloth, random cleaning compound/liquid.
■ Air vents: Clean the air vents regularly will help maintaining good ventilation, prevent overheating. You should use a squeeze blower or compressed air can to blow at the vents from an angle before wiping them.
■ For a throughout cleaning/disinfection: Please use Isopropyl alcohol (IPA), commonly known as "rubbing alcohol" (but not to mistake with ethanol). IPA 70% is most suitable, you can dilute it with water if you can't find the exact %. IPA 90% or higher % may damage rubber/plastic due to its mild solvent property. Dampen on a microfiber cloth before wiping. Do not spray directly on the device. Use q-tips for small areas.
■ To clean electrical contacts in hard-to-reach areas: Please use specialize electrical contacts cleaner spray. Useful for electrical contacts on the rails, or fixing Joy-con's joystick drifting.
