#my switch wasnt charged in the dock

also it was in a bag before i turned it on
maybe i accidentally turned it off somehow
Are you sure it was set down all the way? I’ve certainly noticed sometimes it’s a little finicky about setting nicely in the dock. Could be that what happened.
That being said, as a fellow putz, a can’t deny the possibility of brain farts.
Can you do a few steps for me?
First do these steps
HOW TO RESET AC ADAPTER
If your console has issue with charging, no power or other power issue:
1. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall sockets and other devices.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug the AC adapter back into the wall socket then back to the device you want to charge.

Then plug your AC adapter directly into your Switch
not through the dock
And then, do this
it does work fine now tho
METHOD TO FIX BOOT ISSUE
If you are experiencing boot issue, your Switch won't turn on, etc.. try this:
- Make sure the Switch is plugged in directly to the AC adapter.
- Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- At exactly the 15th second, lift your finger briefly then press down once to turn the Switch on.
Oh ok then it's ok
i was just suprised why it didint charged and why it was turned off
its okayy
Now does it charge?
yess
I see... kinda strange though
i probably was tired while studying and put the switch upside down
just in case, do the AC adapter reset steps
Because there has been some cases like this before, and eh the result isn't good
So I was a bit concerned
Make sure you have your Switch's AC adapter plugged through a surge protector, yeah?
Well, Switch stopped charging, turn off on dock, everything sounds normal
and in those cases, their Switch was bricked
can't turn on at all, no matter how much we tried
But your case isn't like that though, so no worries there
ohh
Just precaution on my part
whats a surge protector
I suspect those other cases were caused by an electrical fluctuation, maybe thudner-strike, which somehow so strong it bypassed the AC adapter or any surge protector they used
Commonly called a power extender, but a surge protector has protection for power fluctuation, sometime a fuse
should be ok, although I can't know what type it is lol
