As in complete power reset. It doesn't do it all the time, Id say maybe once or twice a week, but Ill grab my switch and if its warm I know theres a problem. I press the power button and I'm either greeted with a Nintendo logo black screen or some sort of error screen and it says it will restart. Oftentimes it will do this when I have a game loaded in suspension but I can't save cuz I trust the sleep mode. Whats going on and how do I fix it

this issue is pretty broad, All 3 components could be causing issue (switch, dock, power adapter), If you have any extra of one of them you can test by swapping it out, a Though the error screen makes me think it’s a software issue zeldathink

you can also try the tag below, though i doubt it’s as simple as a bad connection because of the error you get

Important: Follow these steps in exact order
While you are doing the steps, check if there's any loose, damaged, improper placed cables. Take the chance to clean the jacks on the cable and the HDMI ports as well.

  1. Unplug all the cables (HDMI, AC Power Adapter) and remove the Switch from dock.
  2. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall socket.
  3. Turn off the TV/Monitor.
  4. Wait 30 seconds.
  5. Connect your AC adapter cable to the dock.
  6. Connect your AC adapter to the wall outlet.
  7. Connect your HDMI cable to the dock.
  8. Connect your HDMI cable to the TV/Monitor.
  9. Dock your Switch.
  10. Turn on TV/Monitor.
