Guys all right? I have... well, a problem that is very specific, so to speak. I have a MAG B550M MORTAR, and I'm trying anyway to connect my nintendo controller to windows and yes, it works, EVERYTHING WORKS, so much so that I use it on batocera sometimes and all the USBs recognize them, I've already done the test on other machines and it always works, but on my PC it won't, it doesn't even make the noise of connecting the USB, I've looked everywhere for a solution and so far I haven't found anything, I can't connect the control, doesn't even give a sign, not even noise from the usb connecting it and as I said, it's only on windows, I've even formatted and reinstalled the drivers, I've done the control update on the nintendo switch, but without success.
Has anyone ever experienced this? I really don't know what else to do.

This is a bit confusing.
So you are saying you managed to make it worked on other PC but not yours?
Which wrapper software did you use?
And can you please take a pic of your Pro con? Gotta confirm it's an actual Pro con. Folks keep mixing them up with other type of controllers.
Yes, i didnt understand too, when I connect the USB cable, there is no sign of life on the controller, i was able to connect via bluetooth once but then not anymore
waiting, please
So did you use it with any wrapper software?
no, I didn't even have the usb sound playing in windows like when I plug in a pendrive
unfortunately not, why?
I know the reason why, your motherboard isn't giving it enough power
For some reasons, a few motherboard doesn't recognize this controller as a device that need power
and thus, no power
However, using an USB hub force the mobo to give the hub more power and somehow, will work with the controller
you got it?
We have a different solution but may not work, let's try though
Again, I must repeat myself, which wrapper software have you used on other computer?
I'm thinking of buying one, I have 5 usb and two are being used for ios, I thought it might be something like that, but I thought there might be a solution, I'm going to buy a hub tomorrow and test it, thanks for the help.
and the other pc?
i used the steam and the betterjoy for test
So did you have Betterjoy installed on this PC as well?
on the one that it doesn't work
dont workit too =/
have you tried doing these steps:
- Remove the controller in Device Manager (uninstall it).
- Restart the computer.
- Re-install Betterjoy from fresh.
- Reconnect the controller.
Sometime Windows keep overwriting Betterjoy's driver
i installed windows yesterday, so this pc doesn't have betterjoy, i managed to connect once only through blueetooh, but i wasn't informed later, the only thing i don´t know here is where i find the driver controller in the device manger here:
Hmm
when you are looking at this list
connect the controller
see if anything is changed
Bluetooth connection still work? Just doesn't work via USB wired connection?
nothing is working now, I will try to connect via bluetooth again, wait
hmm
Normally when I got these issues I often have to redo everything a few times then suddenly it works.
Which one do you prefer more? Wired or bluetooth?
Today I almost made it, but I asked for the PIN CODE and when i put the code does not connected
i preffer cable
Really this is god then, no?
huh?
is this good then? no? save work now, it would just install betterjoy, no? sorry, im brazilian and... my english fail sometimes
I see, it's fine.
You should try to see if the device pops up in Device Manager as you plug it in.
By the way, when you plug the controllers in, does the controller's light lit up?
no, no the lights don't give any signal too
I'm trying here, but the light on the controller doesn't even blink to want to connect the bluetooth
yes, but was there any changes in the Device manager list?
No need, I understand enough
ok
Have you tried plugging it in all other USB ports?
yes, all usb ports up to the ones on the case
the ones on the back as well?
yes
Alright, back to what I suggested previously
Oh wait
1 sec
open a web browser
then put this in the address bar
This is to open a config page of HIDguardian
it's part of BetterJoy
what it does is it can hide the controller so Windows can't see it
It was mean to help Betterjoy bypass Windows' control
Can you check on that site if the controller is in there?
ok, wait please
See if there's any device that has "Hidden" status on that liste
this?
To be precise, if it's hidden, it'll be in the "Currently affected devices" list
Nothing in there?
only this
NO
On your Pro con, there's a tiny Pairing button on top
Press and hold it for a few seconds until the lights at the bottom starts to flash
And then plug in the USB cable
or start the bluetooth pairing
But you need to press that pairing button
Now it stopped appearing again T.T
Try it again
OK
Remember to press and hold the pairing button
This is how to make it go into pairing mode
The two pin code
strange that the first time I was able to connect via bluetooth was with these codes
The light at the bottom of the controller
You are looking at the wrong light
It's the one used to indicate player number
Press and hold the pairing button until you see the lights flashing
Ahhh sorry, this light 😅😅😅
Done
well... i will use in the bluetooh mode at least
yeah, i think i will do a youtube video after for help the brazilian people here
tks friend, this help much me
Haha I'm glad we managed to fix it
Good luck
With your video, I meant
I think the cause for this is because Better joy somehow decided to hide the controller
I prefer to say that it was windows.. in linux these things don't happen, I hate windows hahaha xD
Actually I have no idea why it did this either
There were a few cases in the past, hence I know how to fix it
But I have no clue why it blocked sometime
no problem, it happens.
this is the least, for me the strange thing is that it does not work on USB, but working on bluetooth already helps a lot
tks friend
I think you can still try to make it work on USB but eh, more work
If it doesn't bother you, we can try.
Well, try the same thing you just did but remove the controller from the bluetooth list
Make the controller to enter pairing mode, then plug in the USB cable
Remember that you can't let it work on bluetooth and wired at the same time.
Try again, but this time, when the controller is in pairing mode and connected to your computer, press the L and R button together several times.
At the same time, try to press the Find controller button on BetterJoy
nothing
Urgh, the reset steps, that's what you need to do
