Hello! For a couple of days my switch has been having errors when playing and downloading games. When I was playing Overwatch and Fortnite with my friends, several times while I was in the game, the game would close and I would get the typical message "There has been an error with the program and it is going to close." sometimes it takes a couple of minutes and other times ten minutes, making it impossible to play the game mora than 5 minutes. I tried to archive the game and download it again, but it turns out that I always get an error message, saying that my sd card is not detected. I have reinserted the sd card several times, but still I get the error. I've even gone so far as to format it, but nothing. Until a couple of days ago I did not have this problem, what should I do? I cant play because my sd or is It another problem?

Right now I don't have a picture of my own switch with the error message, but I found a picture from another user with the same message as mine. The error is this one:
This is the sd card with which the error is occurring. On the outside, it doesn't seem to have any problems:
You gonna need to format the card. Follow the instructions below.
MICROSD CARD FORMAT AND TEST
§ To fix Error Code: 2016-0641, data corruption issue. For fixing microSD card not recognized, broken microSD card reader please use tag sdr
※ Note: microSD card only stores screenshots/video capture and games' install data. Save data is stored on the internal memory of the Switch.
■ How to properly format a microSD card to use on Switch console:
You will need a PC computer and a microSD card reader.
1. Use this software, SD Association's SD Memory Card Formatter, and format the microSD card using Overwrite option.
2. Format your microSD card again using your computer's Quick format feature. exFAT and FAT32 filesystem is preferred.
3. Put the microSD card into your Switch console and use the built-in function to format the card one more time.

■ If you suspect your microSD card is broken or fake/counterfeit, you can test using these software:
• Windows: H2Test (Read/Write speed test)
• Mac: Black Magic Disk Speed Test or F3XSwift
Thank you! I'll try it right now.
Hello again! I tried what you told me and unfortunately it didn't work for me. After an hour downloading Overwatch 2 again, I got the error message again. What should I do?
Can you move the game's data to internal memory and test there?
I'd ask you to test using a different microSD card but it sounds like the download time is too long.
I'm suspecting your microSD card reader is having issues.
Any other similar problem regarding this card?
I'll have to download it again from the beginning, but I'll try :/
You can move the data in System Settings > Data management
I suggest moving because it doesn't force you to redownload
Hmm
how about you get a different microSD card then test with a lighter game?
smaller game I meant
Not for now, I've only had problems installing games
Okay, but it doesn't sound like the best idea to me. Since before I tried to download a lighter game such as Tetris 99 and I had no error. But when installing Overwatch 2 yes
In the first hours, the installation of Overwatch was not bad, but there was a moment in which it failed and the card was disconnected again.
So I think it is at specific times where the sd card is disconnected. Maybe it is due to a failure in the sd reader?
And maybe that's why the download of Overwatch 2 was not canceled until after a couple of hours
Possible. There might be some part of the card that was broken, when the console read to the part, it failed. Normally this can be fixed by the formatting in the tag I gave you earlier.
But if the card is broken then it won't be fixed that easily. We need to test with a different card.
I see, but it seems strange to me. I almost never took the card out of the console, can the sd card break that easily?
They rarely break, but it can still happen.
The thing is we didn't test enough to determine why
Okay, I already started downloading Overwatch 2 again, it will take a while, but so I can see if it stops again in the middle of the download or not.
By the way, thanks for all the help you're giving me and sorry for the inconvenience I'm causing you!
I'll keep you informed if the error happens again on a different sd!
No worries. Good luck.
hello again, i have downloaded the overwatch on the new sd card and i have been playing for a while. Nothing happened at first, but the same thing happened to me again
The game has closed again in the middle of the game, I imagine it was because my sd suddenly disconnected
And how is the game downloaded to the sd card, the game closes
So is it sure that the problem is from the sd slot?
The microSD card reader on the Switch is loosely attach to the motherboard from the outside. It's a point of frequent issue. But it also easy to replace.
But at this point we don't have enough testing info to determine if it's the card or the card reader.
About that, I opened the console to try to see if the problem was visible or if it could simply be fixed by cleaning or reconnecting the part. But it hasn't gotten anything out of it, the error keeps happening
But I guess it's the sd reader, right? I have already tried with two cards and both have given me an error. The Nintendo Switch that I have is V1, I've had it since the beginning of 2018. I imagine that part has been damaged in all this time?
I guess you already saw how the reader is connected, the ribbon cable can get loose on its own, try re-inserting it.
If that didn't work, look to replace the reader.
NINTENDO SWITCH MICROSD READER ISSUE
§ The Switch's microSD card reader is relative fragile and break quite often. The small ribbon cable and its connector are weak point. Thankfully, it's a modular part and stay just below the backplate of the device, quite easy to replace.
■ Troubleshooting
• The first thing you should do is to test multiple different microSD card on it.
If the card you want to use is not working, but the other cards did, then type !tag sdf for a guide to format/test your current card properly.
• If every single microSD cards you test didn't work at all, consider sending it into repair.

Ok, I guess I sent it to a shop in my city to have a look at it. I imagine that the piece is damaged, since despite reconnecting it, it has not affected anything
Thank you very much for all the help you have given me! Sorry for the inconvenience I have caused you. I hope I can fix it quickly so I can play again ^^
