Mario Kart 8 Deluxe keeps crashing because an error occured

I've had this issue eversince wave 4 was released and didn't manage to find a fix yet.. I only have it on MK8 and already tried a few things like deleting the game and redownloading or moving the game from sd card to system and looking for corrupt data and all didn't help..

Is your switch a primary system?, have you tried a different user profile to play the game

What do you mean by primary system exactly? And no I haven't, there's only one profile since I'm the only one using my switch :(

Oh, primary system is if a person uses their account on multiple switches

you can make another user profile in the switch’s setting, there’s a chance the game isn’t the issue and your save file is making it crash

No I only use one switch

That would be a nightmare.. I have everything unlocked and every gold part

if it still doesn’t launch with a different profile then its not your save file causing issues

I should've mentioned this earlier but it does launch! I can maybe play like one or two races before it crashes and then it says it crashed because an error occurred

Have you restarted your switch recently?

I tried playing different games like splatoon 3 or naruto and it ran fine

Yea I thought that too but all the other people Ive seen playing didnt have any issues

I'd love to hear some more ideas from others on this until then I'll just try to keep looking for fixes

Hmm

If the game has any data corruption, you will need to uninstall it all

Moving the data can still give you the problem.

1. Uninstall everything in System Settings > Data management.
2. Turn off the Switch and remove your microSD card.
3. Redownload the game again so it will be installed into the internal memory now.

Then test it all over again

Also, did you see this issue on other games?

This seems to have worked, been playing 3 cups now without any crashes :D

Alright, but your microSD card appeared to be corrupted already.
Try formatting it properly like below.
