if u have switch online ur save data is stored at nintendo's servers
i do have NSO, so does that mean i could somehow load my first ever manual save in botw?
its saved to both ur device and nintendo's servers
but if the save is not in ur device it cant load
the cloud saves just protect ur save files
how do i know if it’s saved on my device
if it loads its in ur device
hmm
it must go from nintendo's servers to ur device if the game does not have a usable save
i’m trying to load one of my first manual saves in botw
is their any way i could back up my current botw save outside of the cloud?
This post is lacking a bunch of context and nobody is asking/telling.
I get you are trying to "load one of my first manual saves in botw" but why? Why do you need to do it?
It should be there in the first place, so something must have happened. Please tell us more about it.
- because i want to 🤷♂️
- in the save slots in BOTW, it only shows a couple of autosaves and one manual save. These are just recent saves, i honestly don’t know how to elaborate any further unless you ask specific questions. i’m trying to load an old manual save file that is not among these save slots.
i don’t know if this helps, but i’ve had NSO the whole time
Your 2nd point just provided enough context.
Was this old manual save on a different save slot than the current ones?
If that manual save was on the already occupied slot then it was already overwritten.
whenever i manual save, the previous manual save get overwritten, correct?
(in the game)
but does the overwritten save get backed up to NSO? or is that overwritten in the cloud too
Yes, it's all overwritten, since they are the same copy of each other.
i see, so does that mean that my old manual saves have been long gone overwritten?
Yes
is their any way to back up my current manual save elsewhere so it could be loaded in the future?
what is it
it's basically copying your data to another Switch and then turn off save data backup on it
ohh
