New to switch, what games should I buy

I have splatoon 3 and Smash but other than that idk what to buy. I was thinking about like Odyssey, 3d world, Pokemon, Kirby, mainly switch exclusives

I'd say only BOTW and Odyssey are essential picks, the rest you should watch gameplay to see whether you would like it

There are a few more games you can check out, such as Bayonetta or Astral Chain (action), Animal Crossing NH (farming/simulation), Mario Kart (self explanatory), Fire Emblem or Xenoblade (RPG)

BOTW is a very special game, I’d recommend it to almost everyone. It gave me so many fun memories man

I would personally recommend 3D world over odyssey but you can’t go wrong with either.

And while I am very bias in its favor, get Metroid dread. It has some of the best boss fights in any game I’ve played. It’s a little light on content so maybe try to snag it when it’s $30-40

Animal crossing, ring fit adventure and the xenoblade chronicles series are all also amazing titles but are not very everyone, check out gameplay online or see if you can rent them before fully buying them

Only game I got so far that honestly got burned by its marketing/hype is Triangle Strategy :/ all others are great
