Hey. So my left joy con randomly stopped working. Some backround, I went on a trip and was playing it on the way, playing new super mario bros U deluxe, I eventually put it up and get on my phone. Anyways, I get to where I need to go and the left joy con just, isnt working. I put it on the switch for the whole night, its connected, its charged. It, just doesnt work. There is no lights (to be fair, Ive had mines since 2018, and there were never any lights on it but it still works) but it isnt working. The sync button never worked and the SL button never worked but i could still play it and such. The switch does have a wiggle issue and always deconnects but it usually complies when I need to charge it. Im trying all the fixes I can, but I might have to send it into nintendo. Can someone please help?

What I can guess is you have had issue with the rail before but didn't send it to repair.
The rail is where the Switch connect with the joycon for charging and inputs.
It maybe a ribbon cable being loosen, or broken. Now it gets worse and completely cut off the connection between the rail and the board.
Your best move would be to send it to repair, or DIY.
There is some guide on this tag below about repairing the rail.
FIX HANDHELD JOY-CON DISCONNECTING ISSUE
• Basic Troubleshooting
・ Make sure the Joy-Con is on by observing the LED lights on the rail.
・ After that, slide it into the Switch.
・ If there is a response on the screen, or a click sound, it means the rail is still working.
・ Go through Nintendo's trouble-shooting guide.
・ Remove all controllers pairing using this procedure.
・ Process to the cleaning instructions below if your Joy-con still have issue.

Thanks
i saw the thing to clean it, but i have everthing else but a compressed air can
Unfortunately, I don't think your issue can be resolved by cleaning. I posted the tag to show you the process to replace the rail.
My suspicion was the rail's cable was loosen over time, or have damage. Initially it was just giving you the problem with the LED and pairing button, but it progressed more and completely cut off, can't get charged nor connect to the console.
This problem can be caused by vibration or impact on the controller.
yeah it isnt the railing as i tried it on other switches and it still doesnt work
so i sent it in to nintendo
Haha, if it's the joycon's rail that's broken, how would testing it on another Switch change anything?
no the joycons rail is fine im pretty sure
well nintendo will figure it out so
Alright, up to you, man. Not like it matters anymore.
Hope Nintendo offers a free repair for this.
