#do third party controllers work with aux mics with USB controller in dock

I've got a pdp faceoff deluxe audio+ for my nintnedo switch that plugs in USB to my dock and has a 3.5mm aux port and I'm thinking of getting the razer kraken x headset to use with it, my question is if I have my controller plugged into the dock and my headset plugged into the mic will I be able to use my mic on apex legends and overwatch? I just need to make sure before buying so I don't waste any money

i doubt that the mics on controller would be compitable to switch

you don't need to use the controller, you can just plug the headset with mic into 3.5mm port the Switch while docking, and the mic will work.

but if your controller have a port, I think it will work too. You can try by plugging an old headset to test before get the Razer one.

(I don't know why my Steelseries one's mic doesn't work on PC, but works well on Switch)

You guys all miss the point.
Nobody is asking for opinion on how well Apex run on Switch.
He's asking to choose a headphone that fits his setup, not an alternative.
A 3.5mm extension cable is viable but it would be a 2nd long cable running parallel to his already long controller's cable.
