I’d love to know this too!
The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild
or wait for Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom coming in may 2023
never played a zelda game before Botw. It's a great, GREAT game and very fun.
(and not "too easy" like Pokémon Sword/Shield) but good game too
^ I love Legend of Zelda BOTW!
Nier automata out soon.
Persona 5 Royal
LiveALive is a classic JRPG which seems underrated
Nier Automata though and Persona 5 will come out this October but I suggest to wait for reviews of it before you buy it
You're just waiting for port reviews at this point
not even the game reviews
just the port
I do not know how to feel about a Square Enix Switch port tbh
but their PC ports are mostly nasty
undoubtedly game reviews are good because the game itself on their respective console run smoothly
I give one week prior to release for the review of its port on switch
Nier port is apparently good according to early reviews
But some of them note that late game performance aren't as good so we should still wait for full review
Persona port should be good considering Strikers ran very well
30 FPS
What type of RPG are you looking for?
JRPG? (Dragon Quest 11S, Persona 5 Royal, 4 Golden, 3 Portable , Triangle Strategy, Octopath Traveler, Trails from Zero)
Action/Adventure?(Breath Of The Wild, Nier Automata, Skyward Sword, Link's Awakening )
Turn-based?(Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, Pokemon Sword/Shield, Pokemon Let's go Pikachu/Let's go Eevee, Pokemon Scarlet/Violet)
words in bold mean they are not released yet
Not switch exclusive but skyrim is incredible
True the base game but I heard the Anniversary Edition (and the upgrade to make the base into the anniversary has not been a hit with some players on switch. Apparently frame rate drops and crashes happen
too bad you can not just disable the mods from the cc you don't want
U don't have enough purchase the anniversary dlc. Base game has the other dlc included
I'm hopeful it will be sorted soon. Tried survival mode after work today for first time. Makes the game feel a lot more real
I know I have the base game with the 3 main DLC's
it just the anniversary has some nice things but unless the switch has a way to disable some of the mods it not worth the upgrade if it frame drops and crashes
A good idea by Bethesda but perhaps they should have limited some of the CC for it\
Definitely worth looking into actually hadn't thought of that.
Great list. I'd Definitely add octopath traveller to the jrpg list , really enjoyed it
All the pokemon games are of course great, my sons on second playthrough of breath of the wild it's fantastic
Yeah as I said some have claimed their switch version when upgraded frame dropped and some crashed
LiveAlive is another(or is it LiveALive
I'm thinking to get dragon quest X1. How are people finding it? Only ones I played is the very early ones emulated.
LiveALive is on Switch
in the eshop (including playable demo)
hope you enjoy playing the demo and or the game
heard octopath traveler 2 is on the way?
Try the demo. I like it but you might as well play demo. IIRC the demo is really lengthy
Also i haven't had issues with skyrim ae but have heard the same (some get frame rate drop/ crashes)
Man don't you dare recommend people to start trails from crossbell
Yeah that what I read as well and till they fix those issues I don't think I'll upgrade (I think they put to many cc mods in it for the switch)
If only there was a way to turn off the mods you don't want then maybe that would fix it
Have to check but i think you can turn off mods, problem is i also think it doesn't fix the frame rate issues people are experiencing (it's not like you can go back to an earlier version of skyrim even if you deselect some mods)
(True and some of said once upgraded they can't even start the game without it)
(Perhaps but it might I mean with so many extra things running in the game might be the cause and if so perhaps turning them off so they don't show up might help. Just a gues though)
Survival mode is what is causing the crashes right now in Skyrim. If you turn off survival, it is still playable
so everyone suffering from frame drop and crashes is all because of survival mode?
Crashes yes, it has something to do with when your player “gets cold” during survival mode - the game then crashes. FPS issues wise, I am not sure if it’s related
well I am still on the fence besides nothing wrong with the base game
after all the upgrade just adds extra stuff no new dlc
Yep, I just took the plunge and bought Skyrim AE for Switch - and that’s the only issue I’ve come across so far. You can easily disable survival mode in the game options at anytime, and continue on enjoying the game
I’m still enjoying it with all the new dlc
Maybe once they patch it, I’ll enable survival mode again
perhaps but maybe I'll by the upgrade for the switch game when it comes on sale and fix the patch (I mean the upgrade not a bad price but could be cheaper
oh weird, i've been playing with survival on, but maybe just haven't gotten cold yet
